CBSE Compartment Exam

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is the governing body for private and public schools under the government of India. The CBSE Board has already declared the result of Class 10 and 12th on its official website. After the results are out many students have passed while some have not. So, for those students who have failed in the exam have another chance to reappear for the exam through compartment exam. 

The Compartment Exam is conducted for those students who couldn’t pass their board exam in one or more attempts. The Board will provide 3 chances to students to clear their compartment exam otherwise he or she will be dropped into Failed Section and he or she will have to readmit in his/her previous class.

CBSE Compartment Exam Results 2019

The CBSE Class 12 compartment exam for all the subjects was conducted on 2nd July 2019 and result for the same was declared earlier on 18th July 2019. Whereas for class 10, compartment exam was conducted from 2nd July to 10 July 2019 and the result for the same is announced today i.e on 24th July 2019. How to Check CBSE Class 10 Compartment Exam Result 2019

The class 10 compartment exam results are announced in the official website of CBSE. Here are the steps to check the result status:

  1. Visit the Home page of CBSE (
  2. Click on the link that says “Click for CBSE Results”.
  3. A new page will open. On that click on the link that says “Senior Secondary Examination (Class X) 2019 – Compartment”.
  4. Again a new page will open. Students have to enter the details like roll number, date of birth, school number, centre number, admit card id to check the CBSE Class 10 Compartment 2019 Result.
  5. Then click on submit button. The result will get displayed on the computer screen.

Students must check their marks obtained in the subjects. Download and print the result PDF for the future reference.

CBSE Compartment Exam Application Form 2019

According to the curriculum released by the Board, the compartmental exam for Class 10th and 12th will be held from 2nd July across the centres decided by the Board. Students those who want to appear in the compartment exam need to contact their respective school to apply for the compartment exam. The Board has started the process for compartment exam and students can register themselves for the compartment exam from 13 May. The students need to visit their respective school for the process.

All the respective schools have to submit the list of the students who are going to appear in the compartment exam by 22 May. Those who will apply after 22nd May, have to pay a late fee and the last date to apply with late fee is 5 June. The students have to pay a fee of Rs 300. The late fee is Rs 1000 till 29 May and post that the late fee will be Rs 5000.

Students can get their CBSE compartment exam application form from the official website of CBSE i.e. Private students will have to apply via an online process where students who dropped a year will have to go through the List of Candidates (LOC). The School Admin will fill CBSE Compartment Exam application forms on the official website. Students can also get their application form from their school administration.

Guidelines for CBSE Compartment Exam

  • A student can appear 3 times for a compartment exam in a continuous session.
  • Students can only appear in those subjects in which he/she got comparted. No other subjects will be entertained by the board.
  • Syllabus for the exam will remain the same.
  • If students have passed the practical exam of a certain subject, he or she will only have to go through the written compartment exam. But students failing both in the practical and written exam will have to give compartment exams for both.

Compartment Exam Admit Card 2019

The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has come out with the class 10 and 12 admit cards for the compartmental examination for the year 2019. Private candidates can download the CBSE Class 10 Admit Card 2019 and the CBSE 12th Compartment Admit Card 2019 from the CBSE board’s website  Meanwhile, regular students of class 10 and 12 can collect their CBSE Admit Cards for the year 2019 from their respective institutes.

According to official notification released on CBSE’s website, the CBSE class 10 compartment examination is to be held from July 2 and July 3, whereas the compartment examination for class 12 will be held on July 2.

  2. You will be redirected to a new window
  3. Select your region and fill in the required information
  4. Click on submit button and the admit card will be displayed on your screen
  5. You can take a print out and keep it for future reference
