Chemistry Worksheets Class 10 on Chapter 3 Metals and Non-metals with Answers - Set 2

Based on their increasing atomic numbers, all elements found on Earth have been appropriately ordered in a periodic table. There are 118 known elements, 92 of which are naturally derived and the remaining 26 are synthesised in laboratories. Based on their physical and chemical properties, these elements are divided into three groups: metalloids, metals, and non-metals.

Metals are hard elements that have a strong metallic bond between their atoms. In contrast, nonmetals are frequently brittle components. Metals have one, two, or three electrons in their valence shell. Non-metals are elements with 4, 5, 6, or 7electrons in their outermost shell.
