UPSC Essay Writing Contest

BYJU’s is pleased to present the most awaited UPSC Essay Writing Contest (2016), which is open to all the readers, IAS aspirants, and students. A question would be given even fortnight once on which the participants should write between 1000-1200 words. The best essays will be selected and published on the website with the name of the author. The winning essay will receive a cash prize of Rs. 3000! Rules and Guidelines of Essay contest The deadline for the contest would be one week from the date of entry after which the submissions are not accepted. The Essay contest will go live every Saturday – so you will have time till next Saturday to submit your entries.

  1. To participate in the Contest, fill in the details below and upload your Essay Document.
  2. The Essay should be in the Microsoft Word (.doc or docx) format with a clearly visible font size. Students should mention their name, contact number, and e-mail ID below before uploading the Essay doc. Essays submitted in any other format will not be considered.
  3. The Essay Contest will be held fortnightly once.
  4. The Essay should not be less than 1000 words and more than 1200 words.
  5. The completed Essay should be submitted within a week from the start date of the competition. The last date to submit the essay would be mentioned next to the topic.
  6. Essays received after the deadline (which would a week from the date of entry) would be rejected.
  7. If the Essay is found to be copied then it will be considered as disqualified.
  8. Results will be announced after a week from the date of the submission of Essay with detailed feedback only on the winning essay.
  9. BYJU’s students participating in the Essay Contest should mention their registered mobile number so that we can provide individualized feedback on the essays.
  10. BYJU’s holds the Copyright of the essays; but in case of copyright breach (copied matter) BYJU’s is not legally responsible for it.
  11. BYJU’s hold the right to edit the essay for clarity of language, grammar and punctuation.

Winners:

  • The best Essay will receive a cash prize of 3000 INR
  • The top ten Essays will get free registration for UPSC Mains Test Series package and will be eligible for other equivalent discounts
  • The winners will be announced every fortnight from the start date of the contest.
  • Winning essay will be published with expert feedback.
