India improves its ranking in Travel and Tourism Competitive
Index (TTCI)
- India moves 12 Places up from 52nd to 40th Position
- For 2015, the ranking had improved from 65th to 52nd
- It is published by World Economic Forum
- About Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report
- Was first published in 2007
- Since then has been published annually
- For 2017 report a total of 136 countries have been taken into consideration
- Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index measures “the set of factors and policies that enable the sustainable development of the travel and tourism sector, which in turn, contributes to the development and competitiveness of a country”
