Both of these are portable forms of computer devices that work on batteries. They are very convenient to use and offer a lot of features for their users. Although they offer a similar kind of functionality, there is a fundamental difference between laptop and tablet. We will discuss the same in this article. But let us first know a bit more about each of these individually.
What is a Laptop?
A laptop is an all-in-one computer device that works on AC power or batteries that are capable of lasting a few hours (while working). One can easily carry around a laptop and use it anywhere. The AC supply or battery used in these devices makes them portable and transportable.
The screen used in a laptop is LCD or LED. It is also alternatively known as a notebook. It is basically a compact, portable version of the desktop computer with all of its output, input, and processing devices inbuilt into one single package.
What is a Tablet?
A tablet computer or a tablet is also a portable form of system/ computer device that one can operate using a mobile OS (operating system). It comes with a touchscreen display and an inbuilt rechargeable battery. A tablet is a flat, thin device, and it has no physical keyboard attached to it.
The battery life of a tablet is comparatively much better than that of a laptop. These devices are very light weighted and easily portable among all of their users.
