Bihar Secondary Teachers’ Eligibility Test (STET) 2023 was conducted by the Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) on 6th March 2023. The online application form filling process started on 3rd January 2023 and ended on 17th January 2023. The official notification was released on 3rd January 2023.
In 2019, BSEB notified several vacancies for the posts of Secondary and Senior Secondary school teachers. The Bihar STET was held in January, 2020 but it was later cancelled. A re-exam for Bihar STET 2019 was conducted in September 2020 and the results were declared in March 2021 (except for Urdu, Sanskrit and Science). Bihar STET Vacancy
The 2023 Bihar STET vacancies are yet to be released. Candidates can check the previous year vacancy details to get an idea about the competition level.
The Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) published 25270 vacancies for the post of Secondary school (Class 9 and 10) teachers and 12065 vacancies for the post of Senior Secondary school (Class 11 and 12) teachers in 2019. Points to Remember: Bihar STET Paper 1 and Paper 2
- One mark will be given for each question.
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Paper I and II are of objective type and contain multiple choice questions (MCQs).
- Both the papers comprise 150 questions each.
Bihar STET Application Process
Candidates have to visit the official website to apply for the Bihar STET. Candidates should consider the following while applying for the Bihar STET.
- New candidates should first register themselves and then apply for the exam.
- Applicants should provide a valid email address and mobile number while registering themselves.
- After completing the registration process, candidates will receive a User ID and Password on their registered email ID and mobile number.
- Candidates should use the User ID and Password to login again and apply for the exam.
- Applicants should upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the instructions given in the official notification released by the Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB).
- Applications will not be accepted if candidates fail to pay the application fee online.
- After submitting the online application form, candidates should take a print out of the registration slip generated by the system.
- Candidates should double-check all the information provided in the online application form before submitting it.

Bihar STET Admit Card
Candidates can download their Bihar STET admit card from the official website of the BSEB. Applicants should login using their username and password and download the admit card. Candidates should carefully review their admit cards and report any discrepancies to [email protected].

Bihar STET Results
Candidates can visit the official website and download their Bihar STET results using their User ID and Password. Important information related to the Qualifying Certificate and Bihar STET results is given below.
- The Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) prepares a merit list (in the order of rank/marks) of candidates who have scored minimum qualifying marks.
- Once the Board has finished preparing the subject-wise and category-specific merit lists based on the total number of openings, the pass or qualifying certificate will be given to eligible candidates.
- According to the Bihar STET 2023 notification, the Bihar STET certificate has a maximum validity of 7 years, and candidates may be chosen for the advertised positions in accordance with this. The Board’s maximum age restriction requirements, however, are what determine the certificate’s continued validity.
