13th February is celebrated as National Women’s Day in India.
It is the birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.She was born on February 13, 1879.
She was the first woman governor of India and an active participant in the Indian National Movement.
The first woman president of the Indian National Congress,she was also a proponent of women’s rights and a great poet.
