What are 5 facts about the Indian Constitution?

There are many interesting and unique facts about the Indian Constitution. Five of them are mentioned below:

  1. The elephant was adopted as the symbol (seal) of the Constituent Assembly. 
  2. Sir B N Rau was appointed as the constitutional advisor (legal advisor) to the Constituent Assembly.
  3. S N Mukherjee was the chief draftsman of the Constitution in the Constituent Assembly.
  4. The original text of the Constitution was handwritten in two languages – English and Hindi. 
  5. A total of three reading sessions were held to discuss the draft constitution before it was finally passed on November 26, 1949.
