What are the effects of radioactive pollution on the environment?

Radioactive pollution is usually caused by improper disposal of radioactive wastes in the environment. This can easily contaminate the soil and render it infertile and highly toxic. It will lead to nutrient loss rendering it unfit for agricultural purposes

Habitats with such soil will be dangerous for humans to inhabit for decades to come.
