What is Ring of Fire?

Ring of Fire is a long horseshoe-shaped seismically active belt of earthquake epicentres, volcanoes, and tectonic plate boundaries that fringes the Pacific basin. It is also called the Circum-Pacific belt. About 90% of the world’s earthquakes occur there.
