The 712 AD Arab conquest of Sindh refers to the Umayyad military campaigns under General Mohammad Bin Qasim. These military campaigns led to the complete subjugation of Sindh by the Arabs.
The pretext of the invasion was pirates operating out of the port of Debal had captured Arab Ships and in order to stop them the Ummayad governor had sent Muhammad Bin Qasim to take the port. Eventually the entire region would be conquered.
