Financial Emergency is written under Article 360 in the Constitution. It can be declared by the President if he is satisfied that a situation has arisen due to which the financial stability or credit of India or any part of India is threatened. 

Other types of emergencies:

  1. Article 352 – Proclamation of National Emergency
  2. Article 356 – Provisions in case of failure of constitutional machinery in states.
