The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative arm of the All India Services of Government of India. Cabinet Secretary (Central) and Chief Secretary (State) is the highest post for IAS officers. Furthermore, the selected candidates are appointed at the post of Sub-Divisional Officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Collector, District Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, etc. Gradually, they get promoted to higher posts.
