Why do I have to pay goods and services tax?

Citizens have to pay tax because the Government uses it to develop the country. Goods and Services Tax is an indirect tax. It was imposed after subsuming many indirect taxes imposed by central and state taxes. This helps in the overall economic growth of our country and creating a single market.
