Net Neutrality promotes a free and open internet, where users can access content without restriction, provided the content does not violate any laws.
Without Net neutrality, the telecom companies or Internet Service Providers -ISPs would act as a gate-keeper and can take some crucial decisions in choosing which OTT services can use their network, blocking some apps, ensuring the competitors’ apps run slow and their partnered OTTs apps run fast.
Detailed information on Net Neutrality is available on the linked page.
