JEE Main and JEE Advanced
IIT JEE is a popular national level engineering entrance examination that is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. It is a prestigious exam for students and is often regarded as one of the most challenging engineering entrance tests internationally.
JEE Main 2023 will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) in the months of January and April. The exams were held in an online (computer-based) mode.
JEE Main consists of three papers. Paper 1 will be for students who are planning to take B.Tech courses, whereas Paper 2A will be for B.Arch programs and Paper 2B will be for B.Planning courses. As said above, JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in two sessions.
The candidates who score about the cutoff marks in JEE Main can appear for JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced entrance exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is also carried out in two shifts that are held on the same day. It is mandatory for all the students to appear for both papers in order to be eligible for the merit list. Candidates are granted admissions to various undergraduate courses as well as masters and dual degree programs offered by IITs based on marks scored or ranks secured in the JEE Advanced examination.
