Amidst the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, many students and engineering aspirants have been waiting eagerly for the officials to announce the details regarding the upcoming IIT JEE exam. Against such a backdrop, National Testing Agency (NTA) which is the exam authority for JEE Main has now released a new notification for the JEE Main 2021 exam on its official portal.Â
As per the details given on the official website, the registration process for JEE Main 2021 is starting from 16 December 2020. Interested candidates can now visit the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and start filling the JEE Main application form. Â
The last date to submit the application forms for JEE Main 2021 has been kept as January 16, 2021, while the application fees can be paid by January 17th. Additionally, candidates will be able to make the necessary changes or corrections in the forms starting January 19th and this correction window will remain open till January 21, 2021.
Alternatively, JEE Main 2021 exam dates have also been announced by the exam authority. The entrance exam will be held in multiple sessions and the dates are as follows:
(Session 1): 23, 24, 25 & 26 February 2021
(Session 2): 15, 16, 17 & 18 March 2021
(Session 3): 27, 28, 29 & 30 April 2021
(Session 4): 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28 May 2021
As for the release of admit cards for the exam, it will most likely be released in the second week of February. The exam will also be set in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Meanwhile, some of the key details mentioned on the JEE Main 2021 brochure for the application process are as follows;
- A candidate has the option to apply for one Session (February) or more than one Session (March /April /May 2021) together and pay the exam fee accordingly.Â
- In other words, if a candidate is applying only for February Session, he/she has to pay the Examination Fee only for that session during the current application period and will have the opportunity to apply again for the March/ April / May Session, when the application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of February / March/ April Session.Â
- Fees once paid will not be refunded. However, it can be taken forward to another Session of JEE (Main) 2021.Â
- Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate for the same Session(s) will not be accepted at any cost.
