NIT Agartala

The Ministry of Human Resource Development of India founded the National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala or NITA), a higher education institution focused on technology in Agartala, India. It was established in 1965 as Tripura Engineering College and designated a National Institute of Technology, NIT in 2006, and thus recognised as an Institute of National Importance. The institution was started with civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering courses.

NIT Agartala Admission

B.Tech Admission

JEE Main scores are considered to determine admission to the B.Tech programme, together with academic performance in Grades 10 and 12.

M.Tech Admission

For the M.Tech programme, the candidates must have completed their undergraduate studies in the relevant discipline, preferably with a B.Tech. The candidate’s GATE score determines whether or not they are chosen for the M.Tech programme at NiT Agartala.

MBA Admission

The candidate’s CAT, CMAT, and GMAT score is taken into consideration when selecting them for the MBA programme at NIT Agartala. After the group discussion and counselling process are completed, the eligible candidates are allotted seats.

M.Sc. Admission

Candidates must have successfully completed a B.Sc. degree in a relevant field with 55% marks. IIT JAM scores are used to determine the initial M.Sc. programme selection. After the CCMN counselling round has been successfully completed, an applicant is offered a seat in the programme.

MCA Admission

The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% in BCA, B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons), BIT, BVOC (Computer Science/Computer Applications), or BBA (Computer Applications).

NIT Agartala Placements

For engineering students in their last semester, the NIT Agartala training and placement division manages the placement process. The NIT Agartala placement cell offers candidates a variety of employment alternatives during the placement rounds. The institute also holds training sessions to aid applicants’ skill development.

525 undergraduate and 80 postgraduate students were placed in various companies during the 2021 NIT Agartala placements. The average package for the chosen UG and PG students at NIT Agartala was 6 LPA, and approximately 22 companies visited the institute.
