The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology established by the Indian Government. Today, NIT Tiruchirappalli is an independent institute with 28 graduate and 10 undergraduate programmes. Due to its extensive experience, NIT Tiruchirappalli, formerly known as Regional Engineering College, received Deemed University Status in 2003 and changed its name to the National Institute of Technology with the agreement of the University Grants Commission, the All India Council for Technical Education, and the Government of India.

Bachelorof Technology andBachelor of Architecture
Admission to NIT Tiruchirappalli is decided by the Central Seat Allocation Board based on the candidate’s All India Rank in JEE Main, subject to the condition that the candidate must have earned at least 75% in the Class 12 exam or be in the top 20% of students taking the exam conducted by the relevant Boards.
