Multiples of 12

Any number that can be denoted in the form 12n where n is an integer is a multiple of 12. So if two values p and q are there, we say that q is a multiple of p if q = np for some integer n.

Some of the multiples of  include

12 36 120 60 144

All numbers which can be divided or is a product of 12 is a multiple of 12. The multiples are also called factors and it depends on their use in the equation too.

For example, 10, 36, 120 and 60are all multiples of 12 for the following reasons

12 = 12 x 1
36 = 12 x 3
120 = 12 x 10
60 = 12 x 5

These values are called as multiples as these values are obtained by adding or subtracting original value many times.
