Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education abbreviated as MSBSHSE is responsible for conducting the SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra. This exam is conducted through its nine Divisional Boards which are located in the following cities Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nasik, Pune, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Amravati, Nagpur, and Latur. Maharashtra board conducts exam twice each year. Around 17 lakh students appear for the SSC main exam. Approximately there are around 21000 schools SSC schools the state of Maharashtra.
