NEET Online Application form

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the one-tier national level medical entrance exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). NEET has replaced the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) and all other state level and university level entrance exams. From the year 2016, admissions in government or private medical colleges for MBBS and BDS courses in India have been solely based on the NEET score.

Aspirants who are seeking admission for MBBS or BDS courses in India have to qualify for the NEET Exam. Candidates can submit the online NEET online Application Form. NEET 2020 was conducted on 13th September and 14th October 2020, results for the same have been announced on 16th October, 2020.

NEET-UG 2023 Application Form

NEET form is released by the NTA (National Testing Agency), aspirants can fill the online NEET application form provided on the official website through online mode.

New Changes In Filling NEET Application Form online 2023

For quick submission of data of candidates while NEET registration, NEET Application form filling process shall take place in two phases or sets.

First Phase

The first set of information should be filled and submitted before the last date of submission of the application form, as aforementioned in the table.

Second Phase

Candidates must fill the second set of information before declaration of results or downloading the scorecard. This would be informed separately on the official website in the upcoming days.

Candidates are required to fill up each set of the Application forms at the time specified. In the event where a candidate fails to furnish information of any of the set, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

  • Know where to apply – Apply for NEET 2023 by visiting the official website, nta.neet.nic.in
  • Know what is to be filled – Information to be filled in the application form are –
    • Names of Father/Mother and candidate
    • Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/ Class XII Admit Card with Photograph/Passport number/Bank Account Number/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Ration Card
      Number/Other valid Government
    • Date of birth
    • Identity Card Number
    • Address

The registration page follows next, wherein the asked details must be filled up. The candidate is then asked to review the page and finally submit it.

NEET 2023 online Application Form – Scanning Images to Upload

Candidates must scan images in the JPG/PDF format only to upload, which is part of the application process online.

Detailed Procedure To Fill NEET-UG 2023 Application Form

There are 4 basic steps to apply online for NEET-UG 2023 –

  • Online Registration
  • Filling Online Application Form
  • Uploading Scanned Photo and Signature
  • Payment of Fees

Step 1: Registration

  • Login to the official website to apply
  • Enter the details asked such as the name of candidate, father and mother as provided in the secondary school exams or equivalent board all in capital letters
  • Enter the date of birth DD/MM/YYYY as given in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University certificate
  • Provide identity details/documents as per your category

  • Provide mobile number and e-mail address
  • Provide complete postal address along with PIN code (Correspondence and permanent address)

Step 2: Complete Filling Application Form

  • Before the final submission of application form, the entered details in Step 1 can be edited except for mobile number and email address. These details cannot be changed after step 1
  • Category – Select your particular category as provided in the drop-down list
  • Nationality – Indian citizens, NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply for NEET 2023
  • PwD status – certificate for the same issued by the Competent Authority must be furnished if claiming relaxation under this category
  • Pick choice of examination center – Any four cities of choice can be picked for NEET. Center-allotment is digitally done without any human intervention
  • Medium of Question paper – Those candidates who opt for English, booklet would be only provided in English, while those candidates opting for Hindi/Regional language, a Bilingual Test Booklet would be provided. That is to say, Question paper would be provided in English and Hindi/regional languages
  • Fill in complete Academic details of X, XI & XII /Qualifying Examination

Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images

Photograph

  • To be uploaded in JPG format
  • Passport size photograph specification – size: 10 kb to 200 kb. Keep ready about 6-8 of these colour photographs with white background
  • Post card size photograph (4”X6”) (Size: 10 kb to 200 kb). Keep ready about 4-6 of these colour photographs with white background
  • Photo must be clicked on or after 1st January. Preferred would be a clear indication of the candidate’s name and date on which photo was taken
  • Photo should not be taken with goggles or cap, focus to be on the face with 80% coverage with a white background and ears to be visible clearly
  • If used regularly only, spectacles are allowed
  • Computer-generated and polaroid photos are not accepted
  • Applications with no photographs shall be rejected
  • Applications that do not comply with these instructions or in case of provision of unclear photographs, shall be rejected
  • Photograph attestation not required

Signature

  • Signature should be uploaded in the JPG format
  • Must put full signature in running handwriting (not in block letters) with a black ink pen on a white paper. Scan to upload
  • File size – 4 kb to 30 kb
  • Application forms that are unsigned are subject to rejection

Left-hand thumb Impression

  • Must be uploaded in JPG format
  • File size – 10 kb to 200 kb.
  • Scan and upload left-hand impressions on white paper with blue ink. Right-hand thumb impression can be used in case of any eventuality of the left thumb’s unavailability
  • The application forms with Left hand thumb impressions which are unclear are subject to rejection

Candidates must upload images that are proper and clear with the provided specification.

Step 4: Fee Payment And Status of Receipt of Form With Fee

Once Step 3 is completed, candidates must make a transaction for the examination fee. Any of the following options can be chosen –

  • Debit/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI /Paytm of Service Provider (Service/Processing charges per transaction. Candidates must make the GST (as applicable) payment wherever applicable and complete the steps as instructed.

Print confirmation page after payment. In the event where a candidate fails to complete all these steps, the final submission of the form remains incomplete and hence unsuccessful. Confirmation of submission of the application form comes from a generation of the confirmation page. If the application form has not been successfully submitted, a confirmation page shall not be generated.

The above-mentioned fees is for candidates in India, for those outside India, the fee is Rs. 7500/-. The processing charges and GST should be paid as applicable by candidates.

Do’s and Don’ts while filling the NEET Online Application Form

  • Before filling out the NEET application form, the candidates are advised to go through the eligibility conditions and other instructions carefully and then begin to fill the NEET application form
  • The candidate must note the NEET registration number provided to him/her carefully at the time of filling the NEET form
  • Before submitting the NEET form, applicants should make sure that the details filled in the form are correct and up to date. For example, the name of Father/Mother is mentioned correctly in the NEET application form as per class 10. The contact number, qualification details, and other details should also be mentioned
  • The NEET 2023 application form must be filled carefully according to the instructions given in the form
  • After filling in the details, candidates will be redirected to the payment page. After completely filling the form and successful payment, it is recommended to have a hard copy of the confirmation page for future reference
