The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) hosts the IGKO (International General Knowledge Olympiad) every year. Students in grades 1 – 10 can undertake the IGKO Olympiad test. Its purpose is to stimulate students’ interest in current events and broaden their understanding. The IGKO Olympiad Syllabus is mandatory reading for students participating in the IGKO Olympiad.

Although the IGKO test is primarily designed to evaluate students’ general awareness, you can expect a few current event questions. The IGKO Olympiad Syllabus will include essential topics in Geography, History, Science, and Mathematics, among other subjects. IGKO Syllabus Class 1 includes four major sections: General Awareness, Current Affairs, Life Skills, and the Achievers Section. The IGKO Syllabus for each section is different for students in Classes 1 to 4 and in grades 5 to 10.
Class 1 to 10 IGKO Syllabus
The IGKO Syllabus is divided into four sections for each class, from first to tenth.
