The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) hosts the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) for students in grades 1 to 12. The purpose is to identify and support students with a high chance of becoming scientists or technologists in the future. There are two levels of the IMO test: level 1 and level 2.

Maths is an interesting subject, but many students are terrified of it. The IMO Syllabus for Class 7 Maths Olympiad is designed to provide students with the maximum opportunities to practise concepts covered in their school curriculum. The Maths curriculum includes logical questions that help pupils enhance their thinking skills. Students can also improve their Math skills by competing in the Math Olympiad. The IMO Syllabus for Class 7 consists of four sections: Logical Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Everyday Mathematics, and Achievers.
SOF IMO Class 7 Syllabus
The 7th-grade Maths Olympiad encourages students to stay on top in today’s competitive environment. Class 7 is regarded as the fundamental stage for the next grades. The Grade 7 Maths Olympiad test includes problems with functions, exponents, powers, equations, and expressions, which are critical in building a foundation for future years. It also helps you do well in board examinations and other competitive exams. The syllabus of the IMO Class 7 is divided into four sections:
- Logical Reasoning section – The section is meant to help students improve their learning abilities and feel comfortable approaching nonverbal and verbal reasoning on several topics.
- Mathematical Reasoning section – Students must learn several methods for strengthening mathematical reasoning by resolving various kinds of mathematical problems.
- Everyday Mathematics – The 3rd section focuses on aiding students to improve their problem-solving skills in relation to various mathematical concepts.
- Achiever section – Students are evaluated on their fundamental mathematical skills in the last section. Since the core concepts are discussed in this segment, students must be conversant with the topics in advance to handle various questions more effectively.

The Marking Scheme for IMO Class 7
The marking scheme for Class 7 is tabulated below. Classes 1 to 4 have 35 questions to answer, while classes 5 to 12 have 50 questions to solve.
