Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL)  Examination for recruitment in various Government departments. Note:

  • SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam 2023 will be held on 26th June 2023 for the candidates who qualify in SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam.
  • On December 6, 2022, the official notification for the SSC CHSL 2022 Tier 1 exam for around 4500 positions was released.
  • It includes details about job vacancies, qualifications, syllabus, and exam patterns, among other things.
  • The age limit for the 2022 SSC CHSL Exam is available in the official notification, candidates can check the same for the details.
  • SSC CHSL 2023-24 exam schedule has been announced. SSC CHSL notification 2023-24 will be released on May 9, 2023.
  • The application form will be available from May 9 to June 8, 2023. The exam will be conducted in July-August 2023.

Age Limit for SSC CHSL 2023

Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005).

Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories are given in the below table

  • Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC CHSL 2021 exams in the following stages

  1. Tier I – Objective Multiple Choice Paper
  2. Tier-II – Descriptive Paper
  3. Tier III – Skill Test / Computer Proficiency Test applicable to a few select posts
