TN Board for Secondary Education Class 10

The Tamil Nadu Board for Higher secondary education is in the interest of Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, India which came into force in 1910. This board evidently is one of the best education systems we have. It has streams as follows:

  • Secondary school leaving certificate (SSLC) stream
  • The Anglo Indian stream
  • The Oriental school leaving certificate (OSLC) stream
  • The Matriculation stream
  • The Higher Secondary Certificate(HSC) stream – for class 11 & 12

SSLC and OSLC are conducted in the month of March, June and October.

10th Samacheer Kalvi exams for students for the year 2019 – 2020 is conducted by the Directorate of government examinations (DGE) by the state. These exams turn out to be very crucial for students as it proves to be a deciding factor on which a student shapes his/her career or field of interest. The board conducts two of these crucial examinations, one for class 10 and the other for class 12, both of which conducted towards the end of the academic year.
