Overview of the Online Exam Pattern for the Post of EXIM Bank Management Trainee

The Management Trainee examination comprises two phases, i.e., online test and personal interview. The online exam contains both multiple-choice questions and descriptive type questions. The entire test lasts for 150 minutes. It consists of 105 questions, which includes questions on reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English, financial awareness with reference to  banking industry, essay and letter writing etc.

The online exam for the post of Management Trainee was conducted on January 8, 2023.  The details of the pattern of the online exam are as follows:

• All questions for the EXIM Bank Management Trainee online test will be in English.
• The multiple choice questions will be followed by five options. Candidates need to select the correct option out of the 5.
• For every wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted.
• Candidates have to clear the sectional cut-off in order to have their descriptive paper evaluated. Descriptive papers of only those candidates will be assessed who pass the objective test.
• There may be sectional as well as overall cut-off marks for the exam.
• The bank will determine the cut-off marks based on the number of vacancies.
• The total duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• Answers for the descriptive paper have to be typed using the keyword.
• Candidates should not click on any of the keyboard keys while attempting objective type questions.
• Upon automatic submission of the objective test, the descriptive paper on English will immediately begin, which will be followed by the descriptive paper on professional knowledge. The exam pattern of the descriptive paper on professional knowledge is given below.

• Questions in the descriptive paper on professional knowledge will be based on indicative areas given below:

• Candidates won’t be able to “Finally Submit” until they’ve used up all of the test’s permitted time.
