JAIIB Syllabus 2023 – IIBF prescribes the JAIIB exam pattern and syllabus. Aspirants of JAIIB exam must keep abreast with the latest exam pattern and syllabus of JAIIB exam to prepare strategically and ace the exam.
The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance conducted the JAIIB exam twice in a year. The exam is conducted for the post of Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. IIBF JAIIB Exam Pattern
The IIBF mentions the exam pattern of JAIIB on their official website. The examination pattern of Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers is as mentioned below-Â
JAIIB Exam PatternÂ
- The exam is divided into three papers i.e. Principles and Practices of Banking, Accounting and Finance for Bankers, and Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Banking.
- Each paper is further divided into Modules, which is discussed below in the syllabus section.
- The JAIIB is an online exam comprising 120 objective questions (in each paper) of 100 marks.
- Candidates have to complete the computer-based test of each paper in 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes.
- IIBF reserves the right to vary the number of questions as required.

JAIIB Marking Scheme
- There is no negative marking.
- Candidates have to score a minimum of 50 marks out of 100 in each paper.
- Candidates securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of examination in a single attempt will also be declared as having completed the examination.
- Candidates will be allowed to retain credits for the subject they have passed in an attempt till the expiry of the time limit for passing the examination.
JAIIB Selection Process – Time Limit for Passing the Exam
Candidates willing to appear for JAIIB examination are required to pass the examination in the stipulated time period which is as mentioned below-
- Candidates will be required to pass the examination within a time limit of 2 years (i.e. 4 consecutive attempts).
- Candidates not able to pass the examination within the period of two years are required to re-enrol themselves afresh. Such candidates will not be granted credit/s for subject/s passed, if any, earlier.
- The time limit of 2 years will start from the date of application for the first attempt. Attempts will be counted irrespective of whether a candidate appears for any examination or otherwise.
