NABARD Grade A Eligibility Criteria

NABARD invites applications from Indian citizens for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS) / (Rajbhasha Service) in the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). NABARD GRADE A 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NABARD GRADE A is mainly based on Nationality, Educational Qualification and Age Limit. The details about each aspect of the eligibility criteria are given below.

Nationality

The candidate should be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification

NABARD GRADE A vacancy are filled for more than 10 different posts. Each post requires a unique educational qualification. The educational qualification criteria required for each post are given in the below table.

  • Minimum of 55% marks

  • Candidates will be required to submit a certificate from Institution/University regarding specialization in finance

  • Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis.
  • Minimum of 60% marks
  • For SC/ST/PWBD applicants – Minimum of 50%  marks in aggregate

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution with Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
  • The Membership of ICAI must have been obtained on or before 01-07-2021 OR CFA.
Computer and Information Technology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Computer Applications/Information Technology
  • Minimum of 60% marks
  • For SC/ST/PWBD applicants – Minimum of 50%  marks in aggregate

OR

  • post-graduate degree in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Computer Applications/Information Technology
  • Minimum of 55% marks
  • For SC/PWBD applicants – Minimum of 50%  marks in aggregate.
Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RAJBHASHA)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in English or Hindi medium
  • Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject
  • Minimum of 60% marks
  • For SC/ST/PWBD applicants – Minimum of 55%  marks in aggregate.
  • PG Diploma in Translation (minimum one year) in Hindi to English and vice-versa from any recognized University.
  • Candidates must have studied English and Hindi as subjects in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course.

  • Master’s Degree in HINDI with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate
  • For SC/ST/PWBD applicants – Minimum of 55%  marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates must have studied English as a main/ elective subject for at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course.

  • Candidates must have studied Hindi as a main/elective subject in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course.
  • Candidates must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice/versa.

NOTE: All educational qualifications should have been obtained from Universities / Institutions incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section – 3 of UGC Act 1956.

Some Institutes or Universities do not follow the class or percentage method for grading students’ performance but allot Aggregate Grade Points like CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc. In such cases, Institutes or Universities define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks and the same will be accepted. If the University/Institute does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade points into Class and/or percentage then the below criteria is accepted for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks.

NABARD GRADE A- Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for NABARD GRADE A is 21 years and the maximum age to apply for NABARD GRADE A is 30 years. The age relaxations will be provided for different categories as mentioned below

Can final year students apply for NABARD Grade A?

No, final year students can apply for NABARD Grade A. The NABARD Grade A 2021 notification mentions that “the candidate must possess the required educational qualification as on 01-07-2021. The result of final term / semester/ year examination of the required educational qualification must have been declared on or before 01-07-2021 In other words, candidates whose final year/semester results have been declared after 01-07-2021 are not eligible to apply.”

Do NABARD Grade A officers get home state posting?

For the first two years NABARD Grade A officers can be posted any where in India. However, the postings will be in capital cities only.
