SBI Apprentice Eligibility

SBI Apprentice is not a permanent employee of the Bank. The Apprentice will be trained about the work and the services that a bank provides to its customers. The candidate will be working under a senior bank officer who guides them in the work assigned to them. After getting the certificate the candidate can apply for different posts in the Bank and this certificate will be helpful there to understand the nature of banking jobs. 

In 2021, the State Bank of India announced 6100 vacancies. The notification for SBI Apprentice 2023 is expected soon. SBI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of SBI Apprentice are based on Educational Qualification, Age Limit, Experience, Local Language etc. Detail of all these factors is given below

Educational Qualification The candidate must possess a Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute. 
Age Limit Minimum 20 years

Maximum 28 years

Age Relaxation
  • Unreserved – No age relaxation
  • Economically weaker section – No age relaxation
  • Other Backward Castes(OBCs) – 3 years
  • Scheduled Castes(SCs) – 5 years
  • Scheduled Tribes(STs) – 5 years
  • General PwD – 10 years
  • Other Backward Castes PWD – 13 years
  • Scheduled Castes PwD – 15 years
  • Scheduled Tribes PwD –  15 years
Experience
  • The Candidate should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship either in SBI or in any other organisation earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 as amended.
  • Candidates who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of the educational qualifications, shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as Apprentices
Local Language
  • The candidates applying for vacancies in a particular state should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the specified local language of that State

Who is eligible for SBI apprentice?
