About Odisha State Cooperative Bank

The Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB) is one of the Scheduled State Cooperative Banks incorporated under the Orissa Cooperative Societies Act on 2nd April, 1948. Since its inception, the Bank has been playing a pivotal role in transforming the agrarian economy of the State by catering to the credit requirement of the farm families.

The Bank leads the Short Term Cooperative Credit Structure (STCCS) in Odisha comprising 2709 PACS (including 212 LAMPS and 6 FSS) at the grassroots level, 17 District Central Cooperative Banks (with 323 Branches) at the middle tier. The Bank has facilitated enrollment of 53.69 lakh agricultural families from out of about 55 lakh agricultural families in the State covering 97.6% of the families

Eligibility Conditions for OSCB Exam

The eligibility conditions for the Odisah State Cooperative Bank are as follows:

  1. The candidate shall be a resident of the state of Odisha irrespective of the geographical area
  2. They should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with a proficiency in computer application.
  3. Candidats should not be less than 21 years of age and should not have been more tha 32 years of age as on January 1st, 2020 i.e. the person should have beern born on or after January 1st 1999 and not earlier thant January 2nd 1998.

Upper age relaxation:

  • The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/ Women candidates
  • Women candidates, 10 years for candidates belonging to PwD category and t the extent of defence service in case of Ex-Servicemen as provided under Odisha Exservicement (Recruitment of State Civil Service and Posts) Rules, 1985.

Note: Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the post. Candidates must necessarily produce the documents in original as well as photocopy in support of their identity and eligibility as indicated in the online application form pertaining to Category, Nationality, Age, Educational Qualification at the time of joining and any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by the Bank.
