RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2023
It is mandatory for a candidate to fulfil the RBI Assistant eligibility criteria or else, the conducting body reserves the right to cancel the applicant’s candidature. Given below are the RBI Assistant eligibility criteria for the candidate’s reference.
There are mainly three requirements that are necessary for a candidate to fulfil to satisfy the RBI Assistant eligibility criteria. This includes:

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Age Limit
Any candidate who is interested to apply for the post of RBI Assistant 2020 must be between 20 and 28 years of age (as on 1/12/2019). Therefore, any candidate who was born before December 2, 1991, and after December 1, 1999, is not applicable to apply for the exam.
There is an upper age relaxation that is given to candidates belonging to certain categories.

Candidates must note that they shall be liable to present their caste certificate at the time of Interview.

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Educational Qualifications
Given below is the educational qualification that a candidate must possess if interested to apply for the RBI Assistant Exam:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, pass class marks are also sufficient to apply for the exam.
- A person from Ex-Servicemen category should either be a Graduate from any Government recognized University/ should have passed matriculation/ or examination of Armed Forces and rendered at 15 years of defence service.
- In case a candidate is applying from a particular state or region, he or she is should know how to read, write and speak the regional language of that particular region.

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Scheme of Selection
The RBI Assistant selection scheme comprises three stages:
- Prelims
- Mains
- Language Proficiency Test
The RBI prelims exam comprises 3 sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The mains exam comprises 5 sections, three being the same as prelims and the other two being General Awareness and Computer Knowledge.

Once a candidate is shortlisted after the mains exam, he or she has to qualify a language proficiency test. This test is limited to candidates applying for the below-mentioned states:

The final selection of a candidate will depend upon the marks scored in the online examination, qualifying LPT, medical test and document verification.
Once a candidate qualifies also these level, only then is he or she provisionally recruited for the post of Assistant in RBI.

Two other important criteria are Nationality and the number of attempts. Only the people who are citizens of India are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant in RBI. Also, there is no fixed number of attempts to apply for the RBI Assistant exam. As long as a candidate meets the eligibility requirement, he/she can apply for the exam.
