Statistics is a branch of mathematics which deals with the collection of data, analysis, organization, interpretation and presentation. Apart from the math subject, Statistics play an important role in different fields of human activity. It is used to analyze about the happening around us, existing position of per capita income, population growth rates, unemployment, schooling, medical, housing, facilities, for forecasting the weather, to predict the age, marks of a student and lot more.
Data is a collection of facts, such as numbers, measurements, observations, etc. The different types of data used are Qualitative and Quantitative. The collected set of data can be represented by bar graph, pie chart,Pictograph, Line graph, Histogram and also in Frequency Distribution.
