About CHAMPIONS Portal

The acronym CHAMPIONS refers to “Creation and Harmonious Application of Modern Processes for Increasing the Output and National Strength”. As a result, the platform’s name is CHAMPIONS. With the support of the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the full ICT architecture is built in-house at zero cost. Likewise, at one of the ministry’s dumping rooms, the physical infrastructure was built at record speed.

Significance

As the name implies, the portal’s main purpose is to help tiny units grow by resolving their problems, encouraging, supporting, assisting, and handholding them. It is a true MSME Ministry one-stop-shop solution. In terms of finance, raw materials, labour, permissions, and other issues, it will assist MSMEs in this difficult situation (of COVID -19). It will also assist companies in capturing new prospects such as the production of medical equipment and products such as PPEs, masks, and other such items. The platform will also allow for the identification of the sparks, or the bright MSMEs that are capable of not only surviving but also becoming domestic and international champions.
