The UPSC has released an important update regarding the online application process for the various exams it conducts. This move is expected to ease the application process for the lakhs of aspirants who take the different exams every year including the IAS exam.
The Commission has introduced the One Time Registration (OTR) system which simplifies online applications and decreases the time it takes for applicants to apply online.
UPSC One Time Registration 2022
The UPSC has launched the One Time Registration facility at its official websites: upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.
- This facility enables aspiring UPSC candidates to save their personal and other relevant details on the websites and these will be stored by the portal for future reference and use.
- Until now, candidates taking up multiple exams had to apply online through the official websites of the UPSC and each time, they had to upload their personal details.
- Now, with this facility, candidates can save their personal details and retrieve it while applying for various exams.
- About 70% of the information now will be auto-populated through this facility.
- This not only saves time for the aspirants but also reduces the chance of errors while applying online.
- Documents also need to be uploaded only once.
