Weathering is the action of components of climate and weather on earth material like rock. It can be termed as the automated breakdown and chemical disintegration of rocks through the actions of weathering agents like water, acids, salt, ice, plants, animals, and temperature variations. Weathering can be categorized as Mechanical/physical and chemical. It smooths the sharp, rough parts on rocks. It also supports to form soil as small bits of weathered rock mixture with animal and plant remains. Weathering and erosion continuously change the Earth.
