Difference between Downloading and Uploading

Uploading means when you send data to your system to the Internet. On the other hand, downloading means when you receive any data or file from the Internet. Let’s find out some major differences between downloading and uploading.

What is Downloading?

In computer networks, downloading is receiving a file or data from the internet or server. A server can be an FTP server, web server, email server or any other remote system. When a user is copying or downloading any file from the server to their system or computer, this is known as downloading. For example downloading images, songs, movies, files, and more.

  • Here also, the user needs proper internet service and memory to proceed further.
