Bihar STET (State Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam was conducted on 6th March 2023. Candidates who passed the Bihar STET 2023 exam can download their pass/qualifying certificates from the official website of Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB). In order to clear the Bihar STET exam, candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks, details of which are given in the following section.
The cut off details for 2023 will be updated here once the results are out on the official website. Candidates can meanwhile refer to previous year cut off details to get an ide about the same.
The Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) conducted the re-exam for 15 subjects (including Physical Education & Health Instructor), however, results for three subjects i.e. Urdu, Sanskrit and Science were not declared in March, 2021.

Bihar STET Minimum Qualifying Marks and Award of Certificate
As per the Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) notification, candidates have to score the prescribed minimum qualifying marks to pass the examination. However, only scoring the minimum qualifying marks in the Bihar STET is not enough. Candidates have to score high marks so that their name appears in the merit list prepared by the Board based on the number of total vacancies.

Points to Remember: Bihar STET Merit List and Certificate
Important information related to the Bihar STET Pass/Qualifying certificate and merit list is given below.
- A merit list is prepared by the Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) in the order of rank/marks scored by candidates based on the total number of vacancies notified by the Board. Names of only those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks will be considered to be included in the merit list.
- Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB) will issue the Pass or Qualifying Certificate to eligible candidates after preparing the subject-wise and category-wise merit list based on the total number of vacancies.
- The Bihar STET pass/qualifying certificate is valid for a maximum period of 7 years (as per the Bihar STET 2019 official notification) and eligible candidates can be selected for the notified posts accordingly. However, the validity of the qualifying certificate is subject to the upper age limit criteria laid down by the Bihar State Exam Board (BSEB).
