BSF Salary Structure
The pay structure of the BSF varies depending on the position of the recruit. Following the 7th Pay Commission, the compensation structure was altered, resulting in a considerable pay increase and a clear differentiation between incomes within the Border Security Force.

Grade Pay – Grade pay is a specific amount of compensation that a person recruit receives and is defined on the basis of which category the person belongs to in BSF. The Government has already segregated employees based on the category of work, and they are entitled to receive the decided grade pay based on the category or grade they fall into. Basically, Grade pay is provided on the basis of the category of employees, and it differs among classes.Â
Pay Band – The pay Band talks about the range of salary given to an employee based on their position on a monthly basis. The pay band has the benefit of an increment on the amount received on a yearly basis. When you first join, your salary shall be based on the lowest level & it will shoot up every year by a certain % that is predefined and changes shall occur when you proceed to the next level.
Basic Pay – Basic Pay can be defined as the amount received by the employees that doesnt have the provision of adding or cutting any kind of bonus, allowances, or overtime.Â
