The CGPSC State Service Prelims Exam dates are not yet announced for 2023 recruitment. The results for 2023 exam will be released once the exams are over. The candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the Prelims exam would be eligible to appear in the next round, i.e., Mains.
The CGPSC Exam has three stages:
- Prelims (Objective)
- Mains (Descriptive)
- Final Interview

The official notification for CGPSC State Service Exam 2021 was released on 26th November 2021. The online application was filled from 1st December 2021 onwards. The last date to submit application was notified as 30th December 2021. The CGPSC Prelims exam was conducted on 13th February 2022.

CGPSC Selection Procedure
The State Service Exam conducted by Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission has three stages:
- Prelims
- Mains
- Personal Interview
The total marks for the Prelims stage is 400 marks. The candidates who clear the CGPSC Prelims are considered eligible for the CGPSC mains. The main exam consists of 7 papers of 1400 marks. Candidates that are selected are now eligible to appear for an interview, which is of 150 marks.
Note:
- The question paper of Prelims will be objective in nature.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/3 for wrong answers.
- The candidates will be selected in the Mains Exam on the basis of marks scored in the General Studies paper.
- Second paper – Aptitude Test paper will be qualifying in nature.
