Candidates can choose any 4 CTET exam centres from the list given in the application form. Candidates should select the exam centre in order of their preference. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will make every effort to allocate the exam centre as per the preference of the candidates. However, it also reserves the right to allot exam centres other than that of the choice of candidates. Allotted exam centres will not be changed under any circumstances.

Exam Centres for CTET
All the details pertaining to the exam centre will be available in the e-admit card. The CTET admit card can be downloaded from the official website of CTET.
Points to Remember: Exam Centre for CTET
- Candidates should report at the exam centre based on the time mentioned in their e-admit cards, i.e. 120 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The timing for the two shifts is given below.
- For Shift I: Candidates should reach the exam centre at 7:30 AM
- For Shift II: Candidates should reach the exam centre at 12.30 PM.
- Candidates who reach the exam centre after 9.30 am for Shift 1 and after 2.30 pm for Shift 2 will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
- Candidates should carefully read the instructions given in the e-admit card before the exam.

CTET Test Practice Centres (TPCs)
The 2023 CTET exam is scheduled to be conducted in July 2023 to August 2023.
In order to familiarise the candidates with the CBT mode, a list of practice test centres were made available on CTET’s website. Candidates, especially those from remote and rural areas, could make use of these centres free of cost. Refer to the official website of CTET, for more details regarding the test practice centres.
Important Exam centre instructions for CTET 2023
- Candidates should be aware that the exam in the city of their choice will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis based on the capacity available in the city of examination.
- Candidates who complete the online application procedure and pay the money on a first come, first served basis will be assigned the examination city of their choice based on availability.
- The total capacity in a particular city will also be available on the portal.
- If the entire capacity of a certain city is reached during the application process, payment of the examination fee, or updating the transaction on the portal, the applicant will be offered the option of selecting another place of examination or cancelling the transaction.
- If a candidate cancels the transaction, the whole fee will be repaid to his or her account according to the mode of payment, and the application will not be considered for the CTET test.
- Any request to modify the location of the test will be rejected. It should also be noted that if the complete capacity in a certain location is reached while filling out the online application, the applicant has no right to request an examination centre in that city, and the Board will not be liable for it.
- Candidates are thus recommended to complete their application procedure without waiting for the deadline.
