The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) conducts the Haryana Police Constable recruitment exam to shortlist eligible candidates. HSSC Education Qualification for Police Constable Post

The Commission established certain eligibility criteria for the aspiring candidates. The minimum and maximum age limits for candidates appearing in the Haryana Police Constable exam are 18 and 25, respectively. For candidates from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and other reserved categories, an additional 5 years of age relaxation is granted by the Government.

According to the HSSC, a candidate must satisfy the following criteria of educational qualification to appear for the written or knowledge test of the Haryana Police Constable:

1. The candidate must have passed their 10+2 level or some equivalent examination from a recognized board of study or institution.
2. The candidate must have passed their 10th level with the subject of Hindi or Sanskrit or have pursued higher studies.

As per the Haryana Police Constable Qualification, it is not mandatory to pursue higher education to be eligible for the recruitment for constables in the Haryana Police. However, an additional weightage is provided for it by the recruitment department.

Important Eligibility Criteria for the Haryana Police Constable Exam

Upon successfully qualifying for the written test or first stage of the Haryana Police Constable, the candidates are called for the physical measurement test. The following are the eligibility criteria for the PMT stage of the recruitment process:

1. Height: The male candidates belonging to the general category must be 170 cm tall, and for female candidates, it is 158 cm. A height relaxation of 2 cm is provided for the reserved categories.
2. Chest measurement: For male constables, the chest expansion should be of a minimum of 4 cm and must vary between 83 (unexpanded chest) cm to 87 cm (expanded chest).

The candidates should mark that only on clearing all the three stages of the recruitment process are sent for the final document verification. Candidates clearing the written test and physical screening tests are not called for verification of documents if their physical measurement stage is not cleared.
