Citizenship

Only a citizen of India can sit for this examination irrespective of whether they are residents of Haryana or not. The other prerequisites for the exam are given below.

  • Age Limit
    • To apply for the post of a Haryana Police constable, a candidate should have a minimum age of 18 years, and the maximum age limit for the candidate should be 25 years.
    • For ex-servicemen, the upper age limit is 40 years plus three years of added military service. If there is a break in service, it should not be more than four years from discharge and the exam’s first day of enrollment.
    • According to the government policies, a five years’ relaxation can be granted for reserved categories.
    • The first day of the month when the enrollment starts is when the candidate’s exact age is calculated.
  • Educational Qualification
    • Any candidate applying for the post of a constable must have passed the 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination. Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the languages leant at the class 10 level.
