The following are the main highlights of the Indian Air Force Group X Y exam:

The Airmen Group X and Y have five sections, there are 15 questions on Reasoning, 15 on General Awareness, 25 questions on each of Physics and Mathematics and 20 questions on English.
The Airmen Group X exam has three sections: English (20 questions), Physics (25 questions), and Mathematics (25 questions).
The Airmen Group Y exam also has 10 questions on Logic & Reasoning, 10 on General Awareness along with 30 questions from the English language.
