The Yaas Cyclone was named by Oman.
There is a separate panel to name the cyclone if the speed is more than 34 nautical miles. The panel comprises 13 countries including India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Maldives, Oman, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

Cyclone Tauktae was named by Myanmar.
Cyclone Gulab was named by Pakistan.
Cyclone Fani was named by Bangladesh
