The Arya Samaj was opposed by Swami Shraddhananda for its doctrinal purity. His opinion was that the schools run by Arya Samaj were too westernised and had deviated from the founder’s ideology.
Therefore he started his own network of schools, Gurukulas, emphasising the study of Vedas.
