What are the social and economic effects of climate change?

Climate change could affect our society through impacts on a number of different social, cultural, and natural resources. may especially impact people who live in areas that are vulnerable to coastal storms, drought, and sea-level rise or people who live in poverty, older adults, and immigrant communities.

Energy & Land Use are the main source of human greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants which both interfere with Earth’s climate. Higher temperatures and changes in precipitation lead to Climate Impacts on natural and human systems through, inter alia, droughts, floods, storms, sea-level rise, reduced freshwater availability, heat stress, and potential large-scale reconfigurations of Earth system components.
