What happened at COP21?

At COP21, the Paris Agreement was adopted by 196 countries. The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change.

The COP21 was held in Paris, France, from 30 November to 12 December 2015. The Paris Agreement was signed in New York on 22 April 2016 by 175 countries. The day is celebrated as Earth Day throughout the world.
