What is supply chain management and why is it important?

supply chain management (SCM) means managing the relationships between production and supply of products from the farm level to the consumers. It improves efficiency of production and supply of agricultural products and it also helps the consumers to meet their requirements reliably in terms of quantity, quality and price.
