What is the atmosphere made of?

The atmosphere is composed of gases, water vapour and dust particles. It consists of about 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen, 0.9 percent argon, and 0.1 percent other gases. The details of various gases in the air, particularly in the lower atmosphere is given below:
